Education is meant for all. Tunas Wawasan gives children from low income families a chance to excel in their studies.

Tunas Wawasan started as a scholarship program in 1997 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education for the Federal Territory. Under the program, students from secondary schools in the Federal Territory were selected to receive monthly financial support to cover expenses such as school uniforms, school shoes and books.

Since 2001, RMHC Malaysia has expanded the program nationwide with the cooperation of the Ministry of Education. Under the expanded program, a total of at least 42 students from every state in Malaysia are selected every year to receive the scholarship.

The entry level is at Form 1, and these students continue to receive support until the completion of their fifth year in secondary school.

The assistance will enable these students to concentrate in their studies with the financial support provided so that they would have the opportunity to excel in their studies and be future leaders in the country.
