MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION 2005 AT RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE- HUKM

Ronald McDonald House (RMH), located at the Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan in Cheras, held a special Mother's Day Celebration themed "Ibu, Kaulah Ratu Hatiku" at 2.30pm on 6th May 2005.

The celebration was attended by children staying at the house and their mums as well as children from the Paediatric Wards of HUKM,the management of HUKM, House Chairman Datin Azizar Othman, President of RMHC Fadillah Yakin and staff of HUKM, McDonald's and RMHC. The mothers of the little patients from Ronald McDonald House and Pediatric Wards were treated to a display of their children's talent in a colouring competition. More than 20 children attended the event.

While the children had their Colouring Contest, mums also had special programs. A Cake Decorating contest for them and the 'Best Pose Contest' allowed the children and mothers to have fun together. The children were later treated to a McDonald's meal and received goody bags.

At the end of the event, the children presented their mums with flowers. We hope mums and kids, as well as all those who attended had a great time and we wish to thank our main sponsors, Secret Recipe, Nestle and Staedtler for their support. Special thanks go to the volunteers who helped us with the event, and HUKM for their logistics support of the entire afternoon.
