RMHC Charity Hunt 2005 – Leads the Way to Port Dickson

On Saturday, 15 January 2005, RMHC organized its annual Charity Hunt. The destination was beautiful Port Dickson. Thirty-five cars with a total of 140 individuals participated in this challenging and fun event. For a donation of RM160 per person, each participant received a one-night stay, dinner and breakfast at Tiara Beach Resort, Port Dickson. Goodie bags, each containing Nestle drinks, candies, and a t-shirt, were given to participants. A total of Rm11, 114 was raised through this event.

RMHC’s President, Puan Fadillah Yakin, flagged off the participants from McDonald’s Shah Alam Section 3 at 8.00am. In line with the charitable nature of this event, all participants were required to stop at a special checkpoint, Pusat Rhema, a center for 37 orphans in Seremban. Through an RMHC coin box placed at the home, a sum of RM739 was collected and donated to the home. At the evening’s prize-giving dinner, RMHC made an additional contribution of RM2, 000 to the center and pledged 10 used computers to the home. In order to enable the home to purchase a sewing machine, event organizer, Y.S. Khong passed the hat around during dinner. A sum of RM1, 900 was raised. RMHC thanks all participants and sponsors for their donations.

Congratulations to all the winners!
