RMHC – TROPICANA HARI RAYA & DEEPAVALI CELEBRATION 2006
 Kuala Lumpur, 5 November 2006 - Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities Fund of Malaysia (RMHC) today invited 80 children to their RMHC-Tropicana Hari Raya Deepavali Celebration at the Poolside Terrace of Tropicana Golf & Country Resort.
80 children from Rumah Ilham, Shelter Home 2 and Shelter Home 4 were invited to join in the celebration. Movin’ with Ronald was an exciting and colourful celebration which brought joy and laughter to the children. After being entertained by Ronald’s antics, the children had a fun time at bowling competition and trying their hand out at the “inai” drawing, and also demonstration of “samping” and “sari” tying. A scrumptious lunch was generously sponsored by Tropicana Golf & Country Resort. The children also received duit raya sponsored by Mr PK Sunthar from Nisham Electrical and Constructions Sdn Bhd and also goodybags which sponsored by McDonald’s, Sanford Stationery and RMHC. At the bowling competition, the top strickers were also received hampers sponsored by Nestle.
In her speech, Puan Fadillah Yakin, the President of RMHC said that, "RMHC has always been keen to organize events like this during festive seasons to bring cheer to the less fortunate children across the nation. This celebration of Hari Raya and Deepavali is in line with the objective of RMHC to ensure that less fortunate children of all races are able to celebrate their festivities just like everybody else.”
Ng Su Onn, Vice President of RMHC added that, “It is hoped that the contribution by RMHC for celebrations such as the one today, will bring about much joy to these children."
