Tunas Wawasan
Education is meant for all. Tunas Wawasan gives children from low income families a chance to excel in their studies.

Tunas Wawasan started as a scholarship program in 1997 in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Federal Territory. Under the program, students from secondary schools in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur were selected to receive financial support to cover expenses such as school uniforms, books, transportation and monthly pocket money. |
In April 27th 2001, RMHC Malaysia expanded the program nationwide with the cooperation of the Ministry of Education. Under the expanded program, 2 students from each state in Malaysia are selected every year to receive the scholarships. The entry level is at Form 1, and these students continue to receive support until the completion of their 5th year in secondary school.
With an annual intake of at least 28 new students a year, it is RMHC Malaysia's objective to enable these students to concentrate in their studies with the financial support provided, so that they would have the chance to excel in their studies and be future leaders in the community. |
